The Caribbean is a culturally rich and geographically diverse region located largely in the tropics of the Western Hemisphere. Over 700 islands, islets, reefs, and cays grouped into what is called the Greater Antilles, the Lesser Antilles and finally the Bahamas, Turks and Caicos. With a dynamically diverse cultural scene, one can experience African, Indigenous and European (Spanish, Dutch, French and British) influences all found within music, cuisine and festivals. In this region will also find biodiversity within the Caribbean Sea, the lands filled with tropical rainforests and some of the world’s most famous beaches and ecotourism spots.
